We were playing this gig due to the recommendation of the very wonderful caterers Piglets – so firstly, a big thank you to those guys (one of the finest caterers around, so a pleasure to play any gig with them).  Graham and Suzie had come and seen the band at Kempton, so knew what to expect… we had Jason on fiddle, and were playing in a lovely marquee in the garden of the house – which looked out from the Surrey Hills across to the South Downs.

We started with One Day Like This by Elbow, played buy the band, then pushed on into the set.  The crowd danced away, with much energy and enthusiasm – which in turn fed back to the band on stage!  It was a late finish, so as we neared 1am, we played the last song – Time Of Your Life (the Green Day version)… and then the guests were whisked away to the waiting coach – leaving a very happy Graham and Suzie, who relaxed and reflected whilst we packed up.It was a great wedding to play – a lovely crowd indeed.  Best of luck in the future to Graham and Suzie – hopefully see you all soon!
