Congratulations Zoe and Lee.  An intimate Sunday wedding at the lovely Gate Street Barn, with top caterers Kalm Kitchen handling the food, and top band Rollercoaster taking care of the music 😉

We started early so it was a 3 set gig, with some great disco sets from drummer DJ Chris in between, whilst people lined up for the photo booth, and chomped on the tasty bacon baps.  Absolute highlight of the gig was when Lee joined the band to play bass on Jonny B Goode.  Wow!  What a great bass player – a real natural feel and sound, winding his

way round the tune at full pace.  This guy was seriously good – and great he was so unassuming when chatting before.  Another highlight was watching Zoe and Lee dancing together throughout the night – the perfect bride and groom, wrapped in each other.  The band played the first dance – The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face – a great choice, and a fun song to play, when we put our own ‘Hendrix (Wind Cries Mary) meets Stereophonics version’ slant on it.

A bonus for the night was to discover that the band were old friends of Zoe’s brother, Brian… a top chap from the good old days, pre Rollercoaster – back when we were touring the world as original band Redwood!

Thanks for looking after us, best of luck in the future! [flickr-gallery mode=”photoset” photoset=”72157634949302625″]
