Happy Birthday Adrian!
A trip up north for Rollercoaster to Retford (near Sheffield) in Nottinghamshire. Ye Old Bell Hotel has some lovely features, with friendly staff, and generally a nice feel to the place. The room we played in had a stage set back from the dance floor, next to an open fire. The guests were friendly and attentive – who took to the dance floor on mass when we played I’ve Got A Feeling. By the end, they were all on there feet, dancing in a circle around Adrian, who was demonstrating his special blend of Notinghamshire / Scottish dancing to the popular 500 Miles.
After packing down we headed off to the grandeur of the Northampton Holiday Inn Express… which was nice.
Thanks to Adrian and Karen for looking after us – Adrian, we look forward to playing your 60th!
